NAMIBIA AND ZIMBABWE
On the way to the famous Sossusvlei dunes, we spent a night at a beautiful Bagatelle Ranch in the Kalahari desert.
NAMIB DESERT, SOSSUSVLEI AND DEADVLEI
Sossusvlei is the oldest desert in the world and home to the highest dune fields. Its name translates to “dead-end marsh” or “place of no return” (Sossus). With a height of about 325 meters (1066 feet), Big Daddy is the tallest dune in the Sossusvlei region. We spent more than two hours climbing it.
